Itinerary

  • Fly to Barcelona and transfer to your hotel
  • The Christopher Columbus Statue marks the entrance to the port and the start of Las Ramblas pedestrian area – lined with shops, bars and restaurants where street entertainers keep you entertained. Perhaps visit the famous Sagrada Familia Cathedral which was started in 1882 and is still not complete. Universal's Port Aventura theme Park is situated close by, there is also the Picasso Museum, Gaudi Architecture and the Barcelona FC museum.
  • Transfer to the port to embark ship
  • Famous for the monarchy, the Grand Prix, gambling and the Cafe De Paris. Perhaps visit a James Bond Style casino admire the big yachts or take a trip to nearby Cannes & Nice for the home of the film festival, glitz and glamour.
  • Portofino is a fishing village on the Italian Riviera coastline, southeast of Genoa city. Pastel-colored houses, high-end boutiques and seafood restaurants fringe its Piazzetta, a small cobbled square overlooking the harbor, which is lined with super-yachts. A path leads from the Piazzetta to Castello Brown, a 16th-century fortress and museum with art exhibitions and panoramic views of the town and the Ligurian Sea.
  • Approx 50 minutes from the port lies the ancient city of Pisa with its famous leaning tower. Then it's on to Florence – a renaissance treasure founded in the 16th century. Visit the main cathedral Il Duomo Di Firenze started in 1296 and completed in 1436, the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio lines with gold and silver merchants.
  • You will be spoilt for choice in this infinitely intriguing city where an unsurpassed vibrancy of life mixes with epic history, tasty cuisine, top class shopping and a joyous nightlife. Peel back layer upon layer history with world class sights such as the Coliseum, The Roman Forum, the Trevi Fountain and more. The Pantheon is absolutely awe-inspiring dating back to 27 BC and is the only complete structure from the Roman Empire still standing. The circus maximus once seated 250,000 spectators for chariot races around 11 BC. While the oval shape of Piazza Navona, which houses the magnificent Four River Fountain, is a clue to its Stadium of Domitian heritage from 86 AD were gladiators fought and athletes competed. The Spanish steps , he home of John Keats, were built in 1723-1725 and are another of those must see places – a place to sit and people watch artists, poets and painters.
  • Most people head for the ancient Roman ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius or scoot across the bay to the island of Capri.
  • Relax and make the most of the myriad of facilities available on board the ship, from fantastic entertainment to delicious and diverse dining options.
  • Disembark the ship and transfer to Barcelona airport for your flight home.

The fourth and final of Celebrity's Edge class cruise ships, Celebrity Ascent, will launch in fall 2023 and will feature several innovations debuted by Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Beyond.Celebrity Ascent will have a double passenger capacity of 3,260 people. The ship is larger than the line's Millennium-class ships but slightly smaller than the Solstice Class.

The most transformational aspect of the new stateroom design is the introduction of the Edge Stateroom with Infinite Veranda. These revolutionary rooms take the standard veranda stateroom and, with the touch of a button, blur - even erase - the boundaries between inside and outside. The entire living space becomes the veranda, letting guests walk right out to the water's edge. Ascent staterooms offer the latest technology that allows guests to precisely adjust nearly every comfort feature in their stateroom. The in-room automation allows them to control everything from lighting, to shades, temperature, and service with a simple touch screen. Guests can even choose a setting that will tuck them in and gently wake them in the morning; it's world-class service at the touch of a button. Not only do these staterooms feature the latest in design and technology, they're even more spacious. In fact, they're 23% larger than the award-winning Celebrity Solstice® Class veranda staterooms.
