Join us for a delightful winter escape and the first signs of spring as we visit: RHS Harlow Carr for the vibrant winter displays, Harrogate for a Traditional Afternoon Tea at Bettys Tea Room, York with a walking tour, the Chocolate Story and the National Railway Museum and an exclusive visit to one of Yorkshire’s most impressive stately homes – the magnificent Carlton Towers Estate – for a private tour, drinks reception and lunch.We stay at historic Nidd Hall, a delightful 4-star adult-only, Warner Leisure Hotel, with a sparkling welcome reception, live entertainment every night, free wine with dinner and extensive leisure facilities.
Itinerary
- Check-in from 3pm. Welcome sparkling reception with your Tour Manager before dinner with wine followed by entertainment at the hotel.
- Full day tour including a visit to The Royal Horticultural Society’s Harlow Carr to view the Winter Walk, a guided walking tour of the spa town of Harrogate and a traditional afternoon tea at Bettys tea Room. Dinner with wine followed by entertainment at the hotel
- Full day in York including a guided walking tour and a visit to York’s Chocolate Story to discover the history of Chocolate in the city (and a tasting or two!) and a visit to The National Railway Museum Dinner with wine and entertainment in the hotel.
- Full day escorted coach tour to the magnificent Carlton Towers Estate, the historic stately home of Lord & Lady Gerald Fitzalan. This exclusive private visit includes a guided tour, a drinks reception and a three-course lunch in beautiful surroundings. Carlton Towers has provided the backdrop for several television productions including acting as a stand-in for Windsor Castle in ITV’s Victoria and more recently MasterChef. Rarely open to the public, this is a unique opportunity to experience one of Yorkshire’s most impressive stately homes. Dinner with wine followed by entertainment at the hotel.

Built in the 18th century by a wealthy Bradford wool merchant, Nidd is rumoured to be the place that Edward VIII met Wallis Simpson at a party. Nidd Hall is in 45 acres of grounds with award winning gardens surrounded by spectacular Yorkshire countryside. The hotel includes a pool, sauna and steam room available for use by all guests. An ideal retreat for relaxing after a day visiting the delights that the area has to offer.
