Overview

Join us on this magical festive tour taking in: Stratford upon Avon including a back stage tour of the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre; a River Avon Christmas lunch cruise with a welcome drink and wine on the Countess of Evesham; Worcester’s Victorian Christmas Fayre; a tour of the Cotswolds at Christmas on a vintage bus with afternoon tea at The Lygon Arms. We stay at Warner Studley Castle in rural Warwickshire, including a sparkling reception, live entertainment and wine with dinner every night.

Itinerary

  • Check in from 3pm. Welcome sparkling reception with your Tour Manager before dinner with wine followed by entertainment in the hotel.
  • Full day escorted coach trip to Stratford upon Avon with guided behind the scenes tour of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and 3-hour Christmas lunch cruise on the Countess of Evesham. Dinner with wine and entertainment in the hotel
  • Full day tour of the Cotswolds by vintage bus. We will make stops in Moreton on Marsh and Bourton on the Water before enjoying afternoon tea at one of the oldest and most celebrated inns in the Cotswolds, The Lygon Arms. Steeped in over 600 years of fascinating history, the hotel has been host to royalty dating as far back as the 1600s – when King Charles I is said to have stayed. Right up the 1960s when it is reported that Richard Burton & Elizabeth Taylor stayed there at the height of their love affair!! Dinner with wine and entertainment in the hotel
  • Morning at leisure to enjoy all the facilities the hotel as to offer. We will depart the hotel mid-afternoon for escorted coach trip to the opening day of the Worcester Victorian Christmas Market. There will be time to take in the Carol concert in the cathedral. Dinner with wine and entertainment in the hotel
  • Check out of hotel by 10am Note: Order of excursions may be subject to change depending on local conditions.
