A westward drive that can take almost seven hours to complete, this journey will see you travel along a section of the famous Trans-Canada Highway. During the stretch between Canmore and Kamloops, you’ll cross the impressive Kicking Horse Pass – a high mountain pass that cuts through the Canadian Rockies – and enter Yoho National Park. You’ll then continue through Glacier National Park, alongside Mount Revelstoke National Park, and around Shuswap Lake before reaching Kamloops.   After spending some time in Whistler, the next part of your exploration of Western Canada takes you to Vancouver, a bustling city considered to be one of Canada’s most dense and diverse. Travelling south along the iconic Sea-to-Sky Highway (a poetic name for Highway 99, which connects Whistler with Vancouver), you’ll enjoy an opportunity to admire British Columbia’s breathtaking natural beauty. The capital of Alaska, Juneau boasts a plethora of national parks in its surrounding area, such as Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, teaming with iconic wildlife such as salmon, bears, and bald eagles. The city of Juneau is also well worth a stop in itself with such attractions as the Alaska State Museum and iconic cable car ride for breath-taking views. • Day 11 - Skagway, Alaska
  Popular for its gold rush era architecture and vintage steam engine route passing through, Skagway is a fantastic jump back into the days of the Klondike Gold Rush with the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park Visitor Centre. Surrounded by the unrivalled landscapes and inhabiting wildlife of the national park, Skagway paints a spectacular picture of Alaska quite like no other.
