Witness some of the world’s most memorable natural landscapes, from glacier-strewn Torres del Paine to the thunderous majesty of Iguazú Falls. Rio de Janeiro is your first stop and promises exquisite views from the heights of the Christ the Redeemer statue and Sugarloaf Mountain. For a deeper dive into Brazilian culture, enjoy an optional samba show and dine at a local barbecue restaurant. After three nights in Rio, head to breath-taking Iguazú National Park to see its famous waterfall from the Brazilian side. Take in the falls from another angle, the lower Argentine side, before completing your sightseeing in Iguazú from above with an optional helicopter flight. The Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, the home of the tango, is your next stop and you’ll be introduced to its coastal highlights ahead of an optional gaucho excursion at a pampas ranch. Next, prepare for something completely different as you fly to Patagonia for a two-night stay in lakeside El Calafate. Take in the region’s mountainous central region with a visit to Los Glaciares National Park and view the spectacular Perito Moreno Glacier up close on a cruise. Cross the border from Argentina to Chile and continue to Puerto Natales, set on the edge of your trip’s third national park, Torres del Paine. You’ll enjoy an introduction to the park’s most picturesque lakeside vistas and the tumult of the impressive Salto Grande waterfall on a scenic drive. Return to the park the following day for a closer look at its alpine wonders, from the Paine Massif’s iconic three peaks to Grey Glacier, with lunch and a cruise on Grey Lake to see Grey Glacier up close. The final leg will take you north to lively Santiago, where you’ll enjoy a city tour as well as an excursion to the nearby coastal towns of Valparaiso and Vina del Mar. On the way back, celebrate Chilean winemaking with a tasting session in the renowned Casablanca Valley, ahead of an optional second wine tasting, this time in the Maipo Valley.
