Itinerary

  • Say goodbye to your current destination, for it’s time to head somewhere new! Flight information will be available closer to your embarkation date, but this will be when you’re hopping on a plane to continue your adventure – be that travelling somewhere new, or heading home.
  • One of the most populous urban centres in the world and a modern metropolis boasting some of this region’s most iconic landmarks and cultural attractions, Tokyo is unlike anywhere else on Earth. During your exploration of Japan, you’ll have the chance to spend some time in Tokyo with a hotel stay in the Japanese capital. More information regarding your hotel accommodation will be available closer to your departure date.
  • A historic source of inspiration for artists around the world and one of Japan’s most iconic landmarks, Mount Fuji is the highlight of this exciting day tour through the stunning scenery of the famous Hakone region; throughout your tour, you’ll find Mount Fuji providing a dramatic backdrop to the breathtaking natural beauty of this unique area. Starting your day with an exhilarating cable car ride over the Owakudani Valley on the Hakone Ropeway, a sky gondola where you’ll get a unique perspective of the steaming sulphur springs and luscious landscape of this area, you’ll enjoy a short stop in Owakudani itself before heading down to Lake Ashi. Heading out onto the serene waters on a boat tour, with Mount Fuji looming in the distance, you’ll have the chance to see the Hakone Shrine and learn more about the spiritual importance of this region. Then, to make your trip back to Tokyo even more memorable and round out the tour, you’ll take a ride on the famous Shinkansen: Japan’s high-speed bullet train. A nation balancing tradition and natural beauty with advanced engineering and cutting-edge technology, this marvel of modern engineering will give you an insight into the other side of Japan and perfectly compliments the rest of this rewarding experience.
  • Visitors to Tokyo have an almost endless array of shopping, entertainment, culture and food options to explore in a city where the past, present and future blend together like no other. The city's history can be found all around it, as well as other superb museums, historic temples and parks.
  • While sailing between destinations, you’ll have time to take a moment and enjoy everything your cruise ship has to offer; with stunning food prepared with the freshest ingredients, fantastic entertainment opportunities, and plenty of places to lounge around, an enjoyable day at sea awaits!
  • One of the main cities on the Japanese island of Hokkaido, Hakodate is surrounded by beautiful scenery, including Mount Hakodate- which you can visit by an aerial ropeway gondola. There are several top attractions in Hakodate, including the impressive Goryokaku Tower, the neighbourhood of Motomachi and Hakodate Park.
  • A modern metropolis looking out at the Sea of Japan and Sado Island, Niigata is the only government-designated city on the west coast of Japan’s populous Honshu island and a fantastic place to visit for anyone looking to immerse themselves in modern Japanese culture without the hustle and bustle of larger cities like Tokyo and Yokohama. Home to popular attractions like Hakusan Park and Hakusan Shrine, Bandai Bridge, and the Minato Inari Shrine, visitors here will still get a taste of this nation’s rich history while exploring the city.
  • Sakaiminato, a little fishing village in Tottori Prefecture, draws many tourists from all around Japan. With lots of nods to iconic anime creator Shigeru Mizuki, this quaint city has a small population, yet plenty of attractions for visitors to explore; from the Mizuki Shigeru Museum to Sakaidaiba Park and the Miho Shrine that lies just outside of the city centre.
  • A large port city in South Korea, Busan is a bustling city with a mixture of modern and historic landmarks. Surrounded by mountains and beaches, whether you’re looking to relax and unwind with a tranquil walk, visit an aquarium or see the city from a new perspective by venturing to the top of one of the viewpoints, the choice is yours. Top highlights in the city include Haeundae Beach, the Haedong Yonggungsa Temple and the Diamond Tower.
  • It’s time to explore Nagasaki and embark on a unique day tour that combines this city’s natural beauty with its devastating history – an enriching experience that promises to be memorable. First, you’ll have the chance to explore the stunning Omura Park: a garden in the grounds around Kushima Castle, famed for being one of the best places to admire cherry blossoms and home to rare Omura Zakura, a variety of late-blooming cherry trees. Following this, you’ll visit the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum. With the atomic bombing of Nagasaki by the United States during the Second World War easily one of the most important – and devastating – events of the 20th century, and the only use of nuclear weaponry in armed conflict to date, you’ll have the chance to learn more about both the history and the legacy of this significant event during your time here. This tour concludes with a visit to Nagasaki Peace Park, a memorial park built just north of the atomic bomb blast’s hypocenter. Representing a wish for world peace, and that such a tragic war will never be repeated, this is the perfect place to reflect on what you’ve seen before you continue onto the next part of your adventure.
  • Located on the island of Kyushu, Nagasaki has grown to become one of Japan's most attractive cities in spite of the nuclear attack in 1945 it is unfortunately famous for. Without a doubt, this tragedy in the city's history still bares its mark, with the Atomic Bomb Museum and Peace Park being must-see cultural stops during your visit. Nowadays though Nagasaki looks to the future, with charming streets just waiting to be explored.
  • While sailing between destinations, you’ll have time to take a moment and enjoy everything your cruise ship has to offer; with stunning food prepared with the freshest ingredients, fantastic entertainment opportunities, and plenty of places to lounge around, an enjoyable day at sea awaits!
  • Japan's tallest mountain at 3,776 metres high and nestled in the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, Mount Fuji is on everyone's bucket-list of Japan, whether that's to take in the view from the surrounding idyllic surrounding countryside, a Tokyo rooftop or your seat on the famous bullet train or even take up the challenging of hiking up yourself. Mount Fuji is an active volcano but last erupted in 1707, so you've got plenty of time to enjoy the hike, normally taking between 5-10 hours.
  • Visitors to Tokyo have an almost endless array of shopping, entertainment, culture and food options to explore in a city where the past, present and future blend together like no other. The city's history can be found all around it, as well as other superb museums, historic temples and parks.
  • The adventure continues, and it’s time to travel from one destination to the next! At this stage of your journey, you’ll transfer between destinations. The specific details of your transfer will be available closer to your departure date. However, if you have any questions regarding this, please contact one of our talented cruise agents; they would be happy to help!
  • Say goodbye to your current destination, for it’s time to head somewhere new! Flight information will be available closer to your embarkation date, but this will be when you’re hopping on a plane to continue your adventure – be that travelling somewhere new, or heading home.
