Join us for this super holiday with escorted excursions by coach to: Englefield Estate Gardens – filming location for Richard Osman’s The Thursday Murder Club; Marlow – filming location for TV’s The Marlow Murder Club; Cliveden House – setting for key events of the notorious Profumo affair; Henley on Thames including a river cruise; Oaken Grove Vineyard for a tour and tasting; Winchester with a walking tour; a ride on the Watercress Line steam train; afternoon Tea at The Swan at Streatley on the banks of the Thames; PLUS A Murder Mystery dinner evening with live music. We stay at the stunning four-star Bull Hotel in Gerrards Cross.
Itinerary
- Full day escorted coach trip to the riverside towns of Henley and Marlow to include a walking tour in Marlow and a boat trip in Henley. Dinner with wine in the hotel.
- Full day escorted coach trip taking-in Cliveden House, where we have a guided tour of the grounds and a few parts of the house*. Afterwards we travel to Oaken Grove Vineyard for a tour and a wine tasting. Dinner with wine in the hotel. *Guided tours at Cliveden are given by volunteers and subject to availability on the day.
- Full day escorted trip visiting Englefield Estate where we have a guided tour of the grounds followed by afternoon tea at the Swan at Streatley. This evening we enjoy a murder mystery evening at dinner with wine in the hotel
- Full day escorted coach trip including a journey on the Watercress Line steam train and a visit to Winchester. Dinner with wine and entertainment in the hotel. Entertainment will be provided by Joey Scott.
- Check out of hotel by 10am. Note: Order of excursions may be subject to change depending on local conditions.
