Join us in Norfolk for a mysterious and colourful winter escape as we visit: The snowdrop gardens at Walsingham Abbey; Cromer for fish & chips at No1 Cromer; Black Shuck distillery for tour and tasting; Norwich for a guided visit to Carrow House & The Forgotten Vaults, former home of the Colman mustard family, followed by a matinee performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s CATS the musical at Norwich’s Theatre Royal; A steam train ride on the Bure Valley Railway through the Norfolk Broads countryside; A visit to the charming Blickling Estate; Sunday Lunch at the Buckinghamshire Arms; PLUS a murder mystery dinner hosted by Murder 57 at the hotel. We stay at four-star Dunston Hall Hotel, near Norwich, and enjoy a sparkling reception and dinner with wine each evening.
Itinerary
- Check in from 3pm. Welcome sparkling reception with your Tour Manager before dinner with wine in the hotel.
- An excursion by coach including a morning visiting the grounds of Walsingham Abbey for the snowdrops, followed by a visit to Cromer for Fish & Chips at No 1 Cromer . We visit the Black Shuck Distillery for a tour and tasting and discover the legend behind the name before returning to the hotel for a Murder Mystery Dinner with wine.
- An escorted tour by coach to Norwich for a guided tour of Carrow House, the former grand residence of the Colman family, makers of the city’s famous mustard, before the afternoon performance of Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s multi award winning musical CATS at Norwich Theatre Royal. Tickets in the Circle. Dinner in the hotel with wine.
- Full day escorted coach trip including a journey on the Bure Valley Steam Railway through the Norfolk Broads countryside, Sunday lunch at the Buckinghamshire Arms and a visit to the Blickling Estate. Dinner in the hotel.
- Check out of hotel by 11am. Note: Walking tours, train and boat rides include uneven ground, steps and slopes, and in our opinion are unsuitable for persons with limited mobility requiring use of a walker, a wheelchair and/or a mobility scooter.
