Take home wonderful memories from a fabulous line up of ports of call and beaches along the Pacific Coast of the USA between Los Angeles, San Francisco and beyond. Roll the dice and have a flutter in Vegas and visit the sights made famous by TV and film in Los Angeles. Explore the beautiful rugged coast of Monterey Bay famous for its seafood amid a backdrop of rolling pine clad hills. Call in at nearby Carmel by the sea for an upscale seaside town experience and wander through the marina of San Diego and on towards the famous zoo. One of the highlights is a visit to San Francisco where the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and Fisherman's Wharf beckon for a memorable experience.

Itinerary

  • Fly to Las Vegas for an overnight hotel stay on the Las Vegas Strip.
  • A further two-night's hotel stay. Try your hand in one of the many casinos or catch a headline show. Along the strip there are lots of themed hotels which are great to wander through and enjoy the themed attractions. Visit the older downtown area at the top of the strip which has been used as the location for many movies such as James Bond and more. While in Las Vegas day trips to see the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam are well worth the journey.
  • Fly direct to Las Vegas for an overnight hotel stay in a central located airport hotel. Los Angeles airport is situated in a central location where to the south you will find Anaheim for Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm rollercoaster theme park, Long Beach for the Queen Mary museum and also the port. To the North lies Venice Beach, downtown, Beverly Hills and Hollywood.
  • A further overnight hotel stay. In Los Angeles you will be spoilt for choice. Spend some time on Venice Beach made famous by the Baywatch TV series and the setting for many films, featuring roller skaters and lifeguard huts. Visit the boutiques on Rodeo Drive and perhaps take a Movie Star tour in Beverly Hills. Visit the Chinese Mann's Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard where you will find the Walk of Fame and see how your hands measure up to those of Hollywood stars cast in the concrete sidewalk outside the theatre. Anaheim is the Home of Disneyland and also a western style Rollercoaster park called Knotts Berry Farm. Long Beach is the final resting place of the Original Queen Mary which has been converted into a floating museum/ restaurant/ hotel.
  • Make your own way to San Pedro Port to embark the ship.
  • Relax and make the most of the myriad of facilities available on board the ship, from fantastic entertainment to delicious and diverse dining options.
  • The cruise terminal is the next pier along to Pier 39 which is a huge entertainment, dining and shopping complex. This is situated in the heat of the famous Fisherman's Wharf area where there are lots of bars, fishing boats and restaurants. From here you will see magnificent views of the Golden Gate Bridge and have the opportunity to take a boat trip to visit Alcatraz. Perhaps take the famous cable car over the hill to Union square - the heart of the downtown shopping area of the city.
  • Relax and make the most of the myriad of facilities available on board the ship, from fantastic entertainment to delicious and diverse dining options.
  • Monterey sits in the northern half of the California coast approximately 115 miles from San Francisco to north and 320 miles from Los Angeles in the south. With commanding views over the rugged coastline of Monterey Bay - this was once the centre of the sardine packing industry. This vibrant coastal town is filled with attractions such as beaches, scenic trails, wineries, shopping streets, and a world-class aquarium. Monterey is famous for its seafood restaurants and bars in converted factories. Close by is popular Carmel and Bug Sur.
  • Head to San Diego's many beaches or visit Mission Bay which is a 4,600-acre aquatic playground surrounded by 27 miles of meandering shoreline, with a variety of waterways, inlets and islets to explore. Mission Bay is also home to SeaWorld San Diego, the world-famous marine life adventure park. Visit downtown San Diego's Seaport Village for hours of free entertainment, leisurely strolling and window shopping. Stroll through the 16½-block historic Gaslamp Quarter in downtown San Diego and view the renovated Victorian architecture, home to boutiques, art galleries, specialty shops and more. There is also Little Italy - once home to San Diego's flourishing tuna fishing industry - a quaint and lively neighbourhood filled with patio cafés, restaurants, pubs, art galleries, shops, hotels, and the beautiful Amici Park. One cannot mention San Diego without mentioning the opportunity to visit world famous san Diego Zoo.
  • Stopping off in Ensenada gives you the chance to get a flavour of Mexican vibe.
  • Disembark the ship after breakfast and fly from Los Angeles overnight back to the UK.
  • Arrive into the UK from your overnight flight for your onward journey home.
