Overview

Join us on a Yorkshire extravaganza as we explore the very best of this beautiful county from Dales to coast by road, rail and boat including the spectacular Harrogate Autumn Flower Show and indulging in afternoon Tea at the iconic Bettys Tea Rooms. We visit the home of the Brontë sisters, take a cruise along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal from Skipton, explore York and the story of chocolate in the city (with a tasting or two!) and revel in the nostalgia of a Steam train journey over the North Yorkshire moors to Whitby. We stay at historic Nidd Hall, a delightful 4-star adult-only, Warner Leisure Hotel, with a sparkling welcome reception, live entertainment every night, free wine with dinner and extensive leisure facilities.

Itinerary

  • Check-in from 3pm. Welcome sparkling reception with your Tour Manager before dinner with wine followed by entertainment at the hotel.
  • A leisurely day in Harrogate, the elegant Victorian Spa town in the heart of Yorkshire where we have some time to explore and work up an appetite before partaking in Harrogate’s tradition of Afternoon Tea at the iconic Bettys Tea Rooms. Dinner with wine and entertainment in the hotel.
  • A Full day by coach, firstly to picturesque Howarth situated atop the rolling Penine moors, where we visit the home of the Brontë sisters at Howarth House, now the Brontë Parsonage Museum, then to Skipton for a relaxing canal cruise along the Leeds & Liverpool for lovely countryside views. Dinner with wine and entertainment in the hotel.
  • Full day in York including a guided walking tour and a visit to York’s Chocolate Story to discover the history of Chocolate in the city (and a tasting or two!) Dinner with wine and entertainment in the hotel.
  • A full day of nostalgia as we take the steam train from Pickering across the spectacular Yorkshire Moors National Park to the coast at Whitby. Time to explore Whitby, with its quirky narrow streets and bustling Harbour overlooked by the ruins of Whitby Abbey (look out for Dracula!) Dinner with wine and entertainment in the hotel
  • A full day to enjoy the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show with its beautiful floral displays and exceptional produce from the allotments. Gather some garden inspiration from the experts and enjoy the award-winning gardens at Newby Hall. Dinner with wine and entertainment in the hotel
  • A day to relax and enjoy the facilities and activities at Warner Nidd hall or take the opportunity to visit the nearby market town of Knaresborough with its stunning cliff top riverside location – enjoy a walk along the promenade and view the iconic bridge. Late afternoon we have a cocktail tasting experience in the hotel. Dinner with wine and entertainment in the hotel

Built in the 18th century by a wealthy Bradford wool merchant, Nidd is rumoured to be the place that Edward VIII met Wallis Simpson at a party. Nidd Hall is in 45 acres of grounds with award winning gardens surrounded by spectacular Yorkshire countryside. The hotel includes a pool, sauna and steam room available for use by all guests. An ideal retreat for relaxing after a day visiting the delights that the area has to offer.

All bedrooms have: En-suite bathroom, towels, free Wi-Fi, TV, hairdryer, safe, comfy chairs and reading lights and tea & coffee making facilities with biscuits.

Standard Room – from £1599pp – All rooms are located on ground, 1st and 2nd floors – no lift, some rooms on ground floor are accessed by a couple of steps). Sole occupancy of twin or double from £975.

Signature Room – from £1679pp – All the amenities of the standard room with the added extras as listed under the Signature experience. Always a favourite with our guests. On request, subject to availability.

Historic Room – from £1799pp - Situated in the older part of the hotel evoking the golden age of decadence. Each room, special in its own way, has a stunning feature bed, and comes with the Signature Experience. On request, subject to availability.
