Step out of the winter chill and into the heat of world-class cricket as England head to Sri Lanka in early 2026. Following England’s behind-closed-doors tour of 2021, anticipation is sky-high for this white-ball series – and this time the stands will be alive with atmosphere. With Category A tickets included for three thrilling ODIs at Colombo’s iconic R. Premadasa Stadium, you’ll be right there in the heart of the action, cheering on England as they battle for victory.

Combine this with the country’s exotic wildlife, golden beaches, ancient temples and fragrant cuisine, and you have the ultimate sporting holiday. Between match days, you’ll enjoy fascinating excursions, the comforts of your beachfront hotel and the chance to soak up Sri Lanka’s vibrant culture. Places are strictly limited, and with demand set to be huge, now is the time to secure your seat on this unforgettable cricketing adventure.

Itinerary

  • We fly to Colombo, arriving the next day, and transfer to the Tangerine Beach Hotel or Royal Palms Hotel as booked.
  • Take the chance to unwind at our hotel, explore the local area or join our included excursions. Alternative excursion options are also available and bookable direct with the hotel. Included excursions available throughout your stay. Departure days and times will vary. The Home and Garden of Bevis Bawa The Garden at Brief is a stunning location that has played host to legends such as Sir Laurence Olivier, Vivien Leigh and Agatha Christie. Bevis Bawa, born in Colombo in 1909, was a fascinating man with a passion for art and landscaping. He transformed this family estate into a beautiful garden of tropical plants, lush vegetation, pretty ponds and sculptures spread over five acres. Exploring the South An exciting day in the South begins with an enchanting boat ride on the Madu River. This river safari promises adventure, from wildlife spotting to witnessing local trades along the river such as prawn farms and stilt shops. Hidden gems include Cinnamon Island, where the ancient tradition of cinnamon cultivation continues, and the breathtaking Kothduwa Temple. We then tour Galle Dutch Fort – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built by the Portuguese in 1588 and later fortified by the Dutch, this colonial fortress is filled with history and landmarks such as the Galle Lighthouse, Clocktower and Groote Kerk. Afterwards, we return to our hotel via the Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project, dedicated to protecting endangered turtle species. Kalutara Temple Visible from the banks of the Kalu River, the majestic Buddhist stupa is one of the most iconic sights in Sri Lanka. Inside, wonderful murals and statues provide cultural insight into Buddha’s way of life. Kalutara Fish Market We visit the bustling market with the hotel chef, watching fishermen land their fresh catch. The atmosphere is lively and authentic, offering a glimpse into coastal livelihoods. Back at the hotel, enjoy a cooking demonstration using the day’s catch.
  • With return transfers included, we head to the impressive R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo and cheer on England for the first of our three exciting ODIs.
  • Enjoy a day at leisure and take full advantage of the peaceful setting and excellent facilities, whether you prefer quiet relaxation by the sea, a refreshing swim or exploring the natural beauty of the surrounding area.
  • With return transfers included, we head to the impressive R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo for the second of our three exciting ODIs.
  • Choose to spend time relaxing at the resort, seeing local sights or reflecting on the previous two days’ play with fellow travellers. This time is yours to enjoy at your own pace.
  • Our third and final visit to R. Premadasa Stadium for the last ODI. Will England bring home the prize, or will it stay with our hosts? You’ll be the first to know.
  • We check out of the Tangerine Beach or Royal Palms Hotel and make our way back to Colombo Airport for our return flight.
