• Day 1-2 - Flight departs
  Say goodbye to your current destination, for it’s time to head somewhere new! Flight information will be available closer to your embarkation date, but this will be when you’re hopping on a plane to continue your adventure – be that travelling somewhere new, or heading home.
• Day 2-5 - Kota Kinabalu Hotel Stay - 3 Nights
  Malaysia’s Kota Kinabalu is a fascinating destination you’ll have the chance to spend some time in during your exciting adventures through Southeast Asia and beyond. Among the most significant cities on the island of Borneo, there’s a lot to look forward to when you arrive. • Day 3 - Poring Hot Springs & Kinabalu National Park
  Today, you’re going to have the chance to visit two of Kota Kinabalu’s most exciting attractions: the Poring Hot Springs and Kinabalu National Park, home to Borneo’s tallest peak and a remarkable wealth of flora and fauna to admire. Starting with Poring Hot Springs, you’ll travel from your hotel accommodation to this scenic hot spring on the border of Kinabalu National Park, stopping off at the charming Nabalu Village to sample some of the region’s fresh fruits and shop for local wares. A fantastic insight into life in the rural communities spread across northern Borneo, this is undoubtedly a great way to start your day. Arriving in Poring Hot Springs, you’ll have the chance to wander the stunning landscaped gardens here, soak in one of the hot springs, and observe some of the region’s wildlife from a canopy walkway. Then, you’ll venture further into Kinabalu National Park, affording you a better look at one of the world’s tallest island peaks, Mount Kinabalu, and the abundant wildlife found throughout the park. • Day 4 - Kota Kinabalu - Temples, Mosques & Museums Tour
  Kota Kinabalu, one of Borneo’s largest cities and somewhere with a fascinating history to explore, is home to a wealth of incredible cultural landmarks worth taking the time to admire. Today, as part of your cruise package, you’ll be invited on a guided half-day tour of some of the city’s most significant sites. Starting with a visit to the remarkable Yayasan Sabah building, a futuristic structure that stands as one of the only buildings in the world to utilise the unique single-column structure, you’ll then have the chance to spend some time in Puh Toh Tze Temple. The main Chinese temple in Kota Kinabalu, this modern Buddhist temple is simply stunning and offers the opportunity to learn more about the significance of Chinese Buddhism in Malaysia. Following this, you’ll travel across town to Masjid Negeri Sabah: the Sabah State Mosque. An impressive place of worship with a remarkable dome, this mosque was constructed throughout the 1970s and features a mausoleum where several Sabah state governors are buried. You’ll finish this exciting exploration of Kota Kinabalu’s landmarks with a visit to the Sabah Museum, giving you a chance to dive even deeper into the region’s fascinating past and rich cultural heritage. • Day 5 - Fly Kota Kinabalu/Sandakan
  It’s time to bid Kota Kinabalu farewell, at least for now, because the next stage of your exciting adventure through Borneo and Southeast Asia is taking you to Sandakan. Former capital of British North Borneo, this major city on the island’s northeast coast is a fascinating destination with a remarkable history to uncover. However, it’s also renowned as a gateway to the region’s wildlife and boasts an unmissable culinary landscape. No matter what you want from your time here, there’s something to look forward to. • Day 5 - Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary
  Today, a very special experience awaits you. While in Sandakan, you’ll have the chance to visit the remarkable Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. An important sanctuary for one of the world’s most endangered primates, Sepilok works tirelessly to rehabilitate rescued and orphaned orangutans, providing care to those that need it while also improving conservation efforts in the region. During your time here, you’ll have the chance to observe some of the orangutans here at rainforest feeding stations, and – provided it’s open when you visit – the on-site nursery. With over 70 orangutans living freely in the rainforest reserve here alongside approximately 25 orphaned orangutans in the nursery, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to admire these incredible creatures while visiting.
• Day 5 - Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre
  Today, as part of your adventure exploring the sensational wildlife found throughout Borneo and beyond, you’ll be invited to visit the remarkable Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre (BSBCC). This important sanctuary rescues and rehabilitates the world’s smallest bears throughout Southeast Asia. Located on the edge of the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve, the BSBCC is home to over 40 rescued ex-captive sun bears, all of which have the freedom to roam protected forest enclosures designed to offer them a natural environment better suited to their rehabilitation. A fascinating destination that allows you to observe these incredible creatures in their natural habitat, this is one part of your Southeast Asian adventure you won’t want to miss.
• Day 5 - Cruise - Lower Kinabatangan River
  On this day of your cruise adventure through Borneo and beyond, you’ll be invited to enjoy an hour-long cruise along the Lower Kinabatangan River. Embarking in Sandakan, this is a fantastic experience that gives you the chance to see Sandakan from a different perspective. While cruising, you’ll also pass pristine mangrove forests and have ample opportunity to spot some of the region’s wildlife. A relaxing way to travel along Malaysia’s second-longest river, you’ll enjoy a lunch break at the remote Abai Jungle Lodge before continuing with an afternoon river cruise in search of more wildlife and scenic spots.
• Day 5 - Guided Local Wildlife Night Walk
  This evening, an unforgettable wildlife spotting experience awaits you with a guided wildlife walk at the remote Abai Jungle Lodge. Wandering around the lodge’s nature boardwalk as the sun sets, this exciting experience invites you to search the wilderness around you for some of the region’s most fascinating nocturnal wildlife, insects, and bird species. At night, fireflies illuminate the rainforest around you, a magical sight you’ll never forget. Abai Jungle Lodge itself is worth looking forward to, too.
