Discover the Southern Caribbean on Royal Caribbean's extended cruises out of Miami, start your holiday with a pre night in Miami before embarking on a extended cruise to explore the islands of St. Kitts and St Lucia. Watch the sunset with a cocktail in hand and discover one of the great cruise destinations.

Itinerary

  • Depart the UK and fly to Miami, overnight at hotel
  • Embark ship
  • Relax and make the most of the myriad of facilities available on board the ship, from fantastic entertainment to delicious and diverse dining options.
  • A Day to spend on the beach sinking your toes in to the sand and enjoying a FREE beach BBQ courtesy of Royal Caribbean International,
  • San Juan is the capital of the island which is 110 miles long by 40 miles wide and was claimed by Christopher Columbus for Spain in 1493. Spain possessed Puerto Rico for over 400 years, despite attempts by France, the Netherlands, and England to capture the island. Puerto Rico is an unincorporated territory of the United States where Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens. Attractions include Bioluminescent Bay- a truly brilliant natural wonder, this bay, particularly on moonless nights, literally glows in the dark. Flamenco beach is in a nearly wave-less, sheltered cove where fish swim right up to the edge of the water that is waist deep for quite a stretch and has at least 20 yards of crystal clear visibility underwater. Visit the El Yunque rainforest where you can swim in the waterfall.
  • This island was settled at different periods buy both the Dutch and the French so there are two distinct halves to the island. The capital is Philipsburg where the cruise ships dock at the quayside. This is a delightful warren of narrow streets with interesting shops and leafy courtyard cafes. This is a wonderful place to wander around starting in Wathey Square where you will fund a fine collection of West Indian Gingerbread houses. The French Capital is Marigot- worth visiting for its markets, café lined waterfront and the chic boutiques of Marina Port La Royale.
  • St Lucia the second of the top three islands in the Caribbean and also one of our favourites. Another lush tropical island and part of the Windward Island group. The capital is Castries in the North West and there is a lush verdant rain forest in the centre. This island is volcanic and is most famous for Les Pitons - two twin conical shaped mountains. St Lucia became part of the British Common wealth as recently as 1979. Unlike many islands St Lucia is not wholly reliant on the cruise ships and it exports much of its produce such as bananas, coconut, cocoa, nutmeg and sugar cane. There are charming fishing villages, bustling markets, & stunning volcanic scenery. Check out picturesque Marigot Bay the location of many films, trek through the rainforest and take a refreshing dip in a waterfall or be adventurous and take a jungle top zip wire adventure. The best beach is Rodney Bay with its white sands or longer Reduit Beach - both north of Castries.
  • Is one of the top 3 Caribbean Islands for the British holiday maker as“ being a great destination in itself. Antigua has 365 beaches - one for every day of the year; the most popular ones being Galley Bay and Hawksbill Beaches. Antigua is extremely popular with the sailing fraternity with many marinas packed with expensive yachts. Nelsons fleet was hosted in the late 1700™s in a picturesque bay on the other side of the island to the capital and is now one of the best-known bays for said sailing fraternity - now aptly named Nelson™s Dockyard.
  • St Kitts is a member of the British Commonwealth and lies at the top of the Lesser Antilles chain close to Antigua. Cruise ships moor at the cruise pier called port Zante in the capital Basseterre right in front of the shops. Visit Brimstone Hill National Park known as the Gibraltar of the West Indies and the sister island of Nevis just a 45 minute ferry ride way. Get a good feel for the island on the scenic railway“ originally built to transport sugar cane or chill out at one of the best beaches on the island Cockleshell Beach. This 2 mile stretch of white sand beach is relatively un-spoilt and overlooks the island of Nevis. Try an invigorating natural Aloe Vera massage on the beach it does wonders for your sunburn !!!
  • Relax and make the most of the myriad of facilities available on board the ship, from fantastic entertainment to delicious and diverse dining options.
  • Disembark ship to fly overnight back to the UK
  • Arrive back into UK

Activities Details
Designing a huge cruise ship is never easy, but Explorer of the Seas' deck plans are an improved version of Royal Caribbean's older ships. The majority of cabins are located on stateroom-only decks, which allows for quiet nights. The decks that could be more problematic for light sleepers are decks 2, 3 and 6, as they are located below, above or adjacent to loud public spaces that get foot traffic until the wee small hours. Those, and a few aft cabins with obstructed views are the only rooms to avoid on Explorer of the Seas. A clever layout feature of Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas is that restaurants are not all packed into one or two decks but spread out over multiple levels. This keeps crowds at peak times at a minimum - though Explorer of the Seas has a capacity of 4,290 passengers, so expect to share space with a lot of people. 16 elevators help keep a nice flow of guests as well.
